The Winston-Salem Mozart Club's sponsored performance of Handel's Messiah is the oldest continuing annual performance in North Carolina since 1932.

The conductor of 2025 performance of the complete Handel's Messiah will be Gary Wedow. A noted scholar and expert on the Messiah, he is returning for the 90th performance. He has not only conducted the Mozart Club several times in the past, but also the NY Philharmonic in the Messiah.

We are pleased to have Callie Illiff returning as the Mezzo, Claire Griffin as the Soprano, and Ghalip Ekber as Tennor. The Bass is still to be finalized.
While a professional conductor, soloists and orchestra are used for the performance, the chorus is all volunteers.  We welcome all singers to our rehearsals.  If you interested in singing with us, you can reach out to us or find more out more in the Sing With Us tab above.
The Winston Salem Mozart Club has hosted this performance of Handel's Messiah in full for over 90 years as a gift to the greater Piedmont Triad community.  For its entire existence, it has been a free concert.  We believe in strengthening the bonds of arts and music in our community and every year singers from many different performing groups and churches come together to celebrate the Christmas season.  You can help support our yearly production by making a donation at the concert or online through our Paypal.
